Interactive Multimedia Performance System based on Indian Music: focus on Multimedia Music <Drawing Down the Moon>
Kang Hyun Woo (Bright House) is a collector of dreams and the unconscious, exploring traces of invisible worlds through sound and image.
Her practice begins with the question: “Does an invisible world exist?”
She is interested in dreams, the unconscious, lost memories, mythology, and the inexplicable sensations evoked by music. Working across painting, web art, music, video, and performance, she explores inner landscapes and symbolic imagery.
Dreams, ruins, ghosts, forests, animals, and mythological beings repeatedly appear throughout her work. Rather than functioning as symbols with fixed meanings, these images exist as traces left along the boundaries between reality and unreality, memory and oblivion, life and death.
Through these recurring images, she investigates forgotten inner landscapes and the traces of worlds that remain unseen.
She currently develops electronic music, sound art, moving-image works, and live performances through her band Space Boutique and her solo project Bright House.
